In an interesting study carried out by the international magazine Newsweek entitled “The World's Best Countries” Luxembourg ranks fifth, after Finland,

Luxembourg's best score is in the category “Quality of life” where it achieves third place overall.
Health and Political environment come next placing the Grand Duchy in seventh place for both categories.
Economic dynamism achieves ninth place but where Luxembourg seems to fall down is Education placing the country in a dismal 29th position beaten by countries
including UK, Slovenia, Croatia, Cuba and Kazakhstan.
It is interesting that while Finland comes out top overall, it was by no means top of all the categories.
It was the top for education, but Sweden has the best political environment, Norway the best quality of life,
Japan the best health system and Singapore with the most economic dynamism.
