policy rate to a new all-time low of 0.75%.

The reason why the CNB decided to cut today has to been seen in light of the new inflation and GDP forecasts and the press conference which will likely point to an
undershooting of the CNB inflation target this year.
Today’s cut clearly indicates that the Czech central bank is more worried about the undershooting of the inflation target and economic growth, rather than the
current sell-off that the CZK triggered through contagion from the Greek crises.
