The heritage of the Tracians

Golden knife and 545 golden ornaments from before 5000 years found the archeologists in the mound near the Dubene village,
Karlovo, Bulgaria. The knife is a proof that there were highly organized community at this time.
Since 9 of August the finds will be exposed at the National Historical Museum, Sofia, Bulgaria.
Other more than 4700 finds are revealed since 2000 till now by the archeologists near Hotnica, Great Turnovo.

The Tracian civilization - without literature but impressive

The Tracian civilization in contrast to the Greek has not have any literature.
But despite this fact it does not give way before the Greek. Each culture draws on the experience
of the other and both enrich each other.
The Greeks import the alphabet in Europe from the Middle East.
The Tracians import the state organization in Europe from the Middle East.
The Tracian culture creates the first two centralized states in Europe - the kingdoms of the Odryses and the empire of the Macedonians.
