14.04.2006
Bulgaria's President Georgi Parvanov has asked EU's Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn to use additional sources of information for the preparation of the monitoring report on Bulgaria.
Talking to the state radio BNR, the head of state pointed out that the information that the European Commission would use for the report was not complete.
Parvanov, however, did not specify what the additional sources should be.
He was also critical of the government, arguing that the Cabinet made too many promises.
The president also warned against the "dangerous pursuit of involving ethnic issues in the policy".

NATO in Sofia
29.04.2006
The meeting of NATO in Sofia is with a key role in preparing the important meeting in Riga in November. In Riga USA will try to "congest" NATO, to transform it into an efficient political structure. A second important issue in Riga will be the enlargement of NATO. The Adriatic group - Macedonia, Albania, Croatia - is taken into consideration as well as the
former Soviet republics - Georgia and Ukraine.
The acceptance of Ukraine should be the greatest geo-political success of USA since the crash of the Soviet block.
It will cause big difficulties for Russia and will bring serious consequences in a global scale.
